On Wednesday 24th July, Neurodiversity UK was pleased to host a very special guest... the current Mayor of Ards and North Down, Councillor Alistair Cathcart.
It was a pleasure to meet the Lord Mayor and introduce him to the charity so that he is aware of the available help to the families & individuals who live with neurological conditions.
It was interesting to hear his viewpoints on the current state of SEN issues regarding neurodiverse pupils. We sat and talked for a while about how we can support the families of Ards and North Down and the Mayor seemed interested in supporting us in getting the issues that people face daily to the right people. We look forward to being able to progress over the next years and we hope that the Mayor will continue to support us in the future.
