Job Opportunity: Speech and Language Therapist

We are looking for a compassionate and skilled speech and language therapist to join our diagnostic team. If you are someone who is passionate about working collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team to deliver high quality psychological assessments, then this could be the perfect opportunity for you.

Key Responsibilities:

· Conduct comprehensive speech and language assessments for children, adolescents, and adults as part of a multidisciplinary diagnostic process

· Provide clear, detailed reports and recommendations based on assessment findings to help guide treatment and support planning

· Work closely with other healthcare professionals to create integrated care plans for individuals

· Offer expert advice and support to families and schools on communication and language development issues

· Contribute to case discussions and diagnostic team meetings

· Stay current with the latest research and best practices in speech and language therapy, particularly in the context of diagnostic assessments

Requirements:

· A recognised qualification in Speech and Language Therapy (e.g., BSc, MSc)

· HCPC (Health and Care Professions Council) registration as a Speech and Language Therapist

· Proven experience in conducting speech and language assessments, particularly in the context of developmental disorders, language delays, and communication challenges

· Strong understanding of a wide range of speech, language, and communication disorders (e.g., autism spectrum disorders, language delays, dysphasia, etc.)

· Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team

· Empathetic, patient, and committed to delivering high-quality care to individuals and families

· Familiarity with specific assessment tools and diagnostic frameworks used in the field

- Must have Access NI Checks

Job Types: Part-time, Permanent

  • Newtownards BT23 5DY: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (preferred)
